Evil blinked her sleepy eyes and stared in dismay at the mess. How had this happened? No one should have come here to rob them, there was no one for miles away. Also this cabin didn't have anything of value to it. Who would rob from a cabin that demons had formly lived in? That was considered bad luck and whoever did it could end up with a lot of misfortune and grief. Evil turned to look at the kitchen and sulked as she realized that it was worse then the living room. She had to find a way to fix the ruined furniture, too.
Slowly she made her way into the kitchen as her mind whirled with ideas. She couldn't have this place ruined since she just got back. So Evil went to working on cleaning the ruined kitchen as she examined how everything was harmed. Soon she came to predict that an animal had slipped into the house and done this. Her eyes remained wide open and observant as she looked for the pest. The thing was making her bent over and twist in all directions to clean and repair! This was not good for her pregnancy pains. Her back was becoming stiff and sore as she worked and her mood slowly grew to annoyed. That was when Haru came in.
Haru had a knack for coming in at the wrong time or saying the wrong things. This just happened to be one of those times. Evil whirled around to face him with a frown and a look of minor annoyance. "Hahaha," came her sarcastic voice. "Very funny, Haru." She sighed, "please help me pick up nightmare of a mess."
Going back to cleaning her mind wandered off to when she had turned 4. Evil had been too young to notice the tension in the air. When she and her mother were picking flowers and then the sudden appearance of her brother, their quick conversation, and then Hisharu dragging her away with no explanation. Evil's body began to tremble as her pace slowed to one of an absent minded individual. She chewed on her lower lip for a few moments to gain control of herself. Then she moved toward the window, gazing out at the clearing. But something was out in the clearing, she realized. Evil squinted her eyes to try and make sense of what she saw.
What she did see made her give a loud gasp and stumble backwards until her back was against the kitchen wall. Her dark eyes were wide and blanked while her mouth gaped and her already pale skin turned paler. Her heart began to quicken in pace and beat against her chest as her breaths became quick and struggled. Her nails dug into the wall and sweat began to pour down her forehead while her whole being was locked in place. This all lasted for a few mere moments before she calmed herself from her startled state. Evil relaxed and swallowed before moving back to work while her dark eyes gazed warily toward the window. She had been seeing things. Her mind had been playing tricks on her. She couldn't have seen what she saw. It had all just been her mind taking control of the memory that she had been here before when she was very young. That was all it could've been...

Shot down by Evil's sour attitude Haru gave a small sigh and began to rearrange the disorder in the kitchen. Setting a chair upright a small, ringed something caught his eyes. It was peeking out from beneath a mound of blankets and shifted on occasion. That little... Haru frowned and slowly approached the blankets. With a swipe from his foot the blankets flew off the raccoon. Startled the animal gave Haru a preview of his fangs and backed his tail-end against the wall. "You little fuzzy bastard," Haru growled, snatching the 'coon with shadows. Haru narrowed his eyes and glared directly into those of the raccoon. Opening a window - while allowing quite a colorful stream of curses to flow from his lips - Haru hurled the raccoon out of the house and far into the woods.
That's when he heard her gasp. Haru watched the girls sudden state of shock and absolute - fear? - as she gaped at something beyond the window. Confused, and suddenly on alert, Haru looked out the window and scanned the area with sharp eyes. Nothing... he didn't see anything, nor did he sense anything - other than the perturbed raccoon he had tossed out of the house. Haru would be pissed, too, if someone pulled him from his cozy nest and out into the freezing shadows of a seemingly eternal night.
Moving rather quickly over to Evil's side Haru cupped her cheek in his hand and brushed her ebony hair behind her ears. "What's wrong?" He asked, his eyes flicking once again to the window and back. She was calmed now, though, but adrenaline was still fresh in her blood and that deer-in-the-headlights look was still plastered on her face. "You look like you've seen a ghost," he said with a frown. Maybe she had. This had been her parents home, after all. "Here," he said, maneuvering her over to a chair, "sit down." Gently pushing her down into the chair Haru looked around. "I'll finish cleaning," he offered, "you just sit there... or do whatever." With an affirmative nod, Haru continued to clean up the kitchen - and once that was finished he started on the mess of torn fabrics and broken pottery in living room.

Haru had found the pest and it was gone now. Evil was glad for it to be gone. But right now she was trying to process what had just happened. Her mind was dazed as the faint glimpse flashed again and again in her head. She kept blinking to try and get it to go away. She didn't want to see a clearer image of it. Something told her she didn't want to remember what she had seen. Her mind was just being a pain right now and nothing had been there. She was lying to herself if she said there was.
Hands cupped her cheeks and she felt them move her hair. Her dark eyes snapped toward the familiar face of Haru. She stared at him as he asked her what was wrong. She wasn't too sure what she should say. With his comment on the ghost, though, she felt herself tense up. A ghost? Is that what she had seen? Had she seen a spirit and had it startled her? Evil took a deep breath and allowed him move her to the chair. But she held up a slight resistance to him pushing her down it in. "I-I'm ok..." she said meekly, "it was nothing. I don't know what it was that startled me. But it was nothing..." Yet it was something. She watched him continue cleaning up until he began on the fabric. Then she had moved slowly and helped him.
It was nothing...yet....it was something....
