"I hate Yin, too," Evil murmured, it's all her fault that my life is like this. She carefully nuzzled him softly but a feeling of fear swelled inside of her. What was going to happen? How was this going to play out? What sort of life was she being damned to? Evil was really scared to think about it so she closed her eyes tightly and tried to push the thoughts away. Her body shivered and she grew nervous - which displeased her. She hated being nervous around others.
Evil allowed him to rest his chin on her head and she allowed him to rub her back. She wanted him to. Evil really wanted to be comforted right now. He could do this for as long as he wanted and she wouldn't care. Though it was strange how if it were any other man she would've slapped him or pushed him away. Evil would've denied the fact she wanted any help. She would've stormed off in a fit. What a strange thing it was. Maybe she loved him? Ha. That was a funny thought. Evil in love. Never.
Evil watched him as he gazed in her eyes and tried to smile at her. Then he suddenly went off and spoke about his past. This caused Evil to flinch a bit in surprise. But she listened quietly to what he had to say. How often did he open up like this? Evil would probably never hear this again. But her eyes saddened as he explained himself to her. It made her think back to her past a bit. About how her parents had loved each other so much and then how they had been ripped away from her when she was only four and her brother five. Then she... "Alright..." She responded, nodding, and understanding why he was different now. He knew what it was like to suffer - like her. Both of them understood what it was like. "I appreciate you not running away...thank you."
" I...I...lost my parents when I was four. I had a five year old brother. But it's my fault - sort of- that my parents died. My father owed some demons down in Hell and they wanted me. But my parents refused and were given four year to give me up." She felt her heartbeat quicken and her eyes slightly widened, "but they didn't...and they were killed...and I was still taken. I was an experiement and because of it I'm a half breed. That's why I have a hatred for pure bloods. And as for Yin...I saw Yin the night before my parents were slaughtered, and she watched as they experimented on me." She sighed softly and watched him, "so, now I guess we both know a little about each other."

"Some leader she is," Haru spat before releasing Evil. "Still pissed at her for taking the sun away." He sighed a shook his head. "Let's get off the trail and find some place to stay," Haru murmured after letting the though of Yin linger for a few moments. Now it was time for jokes, ones that would brush away the heavy conversation from earlier. "Some hot food, and a cozy bed." Haru winked at Evil and offered her a bit of a crooked smile before stepping back. Then he remembered that his shirt was torn and he had some nice wounds all about him... and now he was bleeding from several new wounds, courtesy of Evil. Haru heaved a heavy sigh and turned in the direction of the nearest village. "Have any money?" He asked, glancing back at the raven-haired female. He was flat broke... if she didn't have anything they'd have to huddle up under a bush or something. That was something did not want to do with his night.
Crossing his arms behind his head, Haru grimaced a bit. "If not I'll just nab the money out of someone's coin purse or something." That's how he got all of his money, anyways.
"Maybe you and I will get Yin back someday," a sly grin crept across Haru's features as he turned to look at Evil once more. "Both you and I have problems with her... so why not do something about it? It only seems fair."

"I still am not aware as to why she took the sun away," Evil responded. "She is a good leader...she's just very cruel. Too cruel for me. I'd never want to live within the Izumi lands." She watched him and nodded slowly, "alright. Where are we going to go?" It was quiet for a few moments as the serious conversation had been allowed to sink in and melt away. Evil still felt jabs of guilt for her harsh accusations toward Haru. She felt she owed him for some reason. Her eyes shifted down slightly toward her stomach as she thought about the little one growing there. What would it be like? Would it be a half breed, too? That thought caused a sense of terror to form in the pit of her stomach. Another half breed in the world to suffer. How could she be so cruel as to allow it to exist? That hurt a lot as she thought about it - but Haru suddenly jerked her away from the thoughts. "Hm, sounds nice right now..."
Her eyes skimmed over his new cuts and torn clothes - causing her to move her head close to one on his shoulder and licks the blood away. It was a natural Izumi thing - especially if he would be in his demonic form. Evil didn't have the true Izumi form, courtesy of the human blood within her. But she still held the instinct of a normal Izumi and it told her to tend to his wounds in any way she could, even if it was the primitive way. "I do have some money," she responded, "lucky for us. It could probably get us something for tonight." She purred softly as she stopped the bleeding in one of his wounds, then her head nudged against him in an affectionate manner. Rubbing or nudging with the head was another common thing that could be done between friends or mates. Strangers didn't generally do that...because that would be...strange. "Stealing is wrong, you shouldn't do it." She chuckled and smirked, aware that she, too, stole things when she desperately needed them.
"Get back at Yin someday...together..." Evil murmured as she watched him. She wondered if he was joking or if he was serious. It seemed like he was actually serious. "We could never take Yin - not even together. It would be a suicide mission." But what else would they have to do after the baby- to-be was grown up and gone? Evil wondered if they were even going to travel together after the baby was born. What was going to happen a few weeks after the little one was born...? "But it sounds fun."

Haru thought for a few moments. Tsukiyomi was closed off to all demons, the cowards. Normally that was the best place to get food and a decent nights sleep. Haru sighed and shook his head. "There's a village we might be able to get to within a few hours." Haru shifted a bit. It was one-horse town with a very small inn... and last time he went there he woke up to some prick about to slit his throat. What a fond memory that was. While recalling the event, Haru had been absent mindedly rubbing his throat, and upon noticing he frowned at himself and let his hand fall to his side. "Just be on your guard." And with that, he was off.
A while later they arrived in the town. A cross-roads, really. The inn looked a bit more broken down than the last time Haru had visited, but it looked like it was still open. A lantern swung in the breeze on the porch, it's flame strong and dancing within the glass walls. Dark eyes glanced about as he stepped onto the squeaky steps of the porch, and he tensed a bit as he opened the rusty-hinged door, expecting a chair or something to come flying at him - like the last time, rowdy drunks always inhabited this place after a certain time. Of course everyone was on a new clock these days.
Stepping inside Haru looked about. There were a few people still in the bar, but everything seemed to have been cleaned up and put away. He approached the bar and caught the attention of its attender - a young woman who looked absolutely beat. Smiling politely at her and flirting the slightest bit (hey, its a habit! those aren't easy to break) Haru questioned her about some food and a room. The girl returned his smile in a flirtatious manner and proceeded to show him - and Evil - to a table where she placed two bowls of soup, two plates of bread and cheese, and two wooden cups of water as well as a key to their only vacant room for the night.
Taking a seat at the table Haru inspected the food. It was still warm... but he wished it was hot. He ate the bread and cheese, and quickly chased it down with the water before turning his attention to the soup and conversation. "Anyways," Haru began, shifting to her almost forgotten comment on stealing, "it's not really stealing... it's more like borrowing without the intent of returning." Haru shrugged. "Not to mention those rich bastards can stand to lose a few coins here and there. It's not like they'll die without them. Greedy pigs."

Evil had merely nodded at the mention of the town. Then followed him, well aware she had to be careful. Evil always had to be careful around everyone. Everyone was an enemy to her nowadays. She always seemed to have the feeling that someone was behind her about to stab her in the back - someone like Yin. A shudder passed through her as the two walked for the few hours he had mentioned. Evil would now look over her shoulder every few minutes just to make sure no one was there. She couldn't help the paranoia from settling in. She just hated the fact that someone could randomly pop up at any minute and slit her throat. She was a nothing to the world therefore a fun toy to take out if someone got really bored. She was just weak enough because of her human blood to be able to be held and destroyed by a group of humans. A single demon could easily finish her off. Evil was frustrated over this.
Finding the inn he had been talking about, Evil noticed it was pretty run down on the outside. Also that Haru was very carefully opening the door (and she wondered what experiences he had here. Oh, those probably were just SO fun.) and enter. Evil followed without much care - despite his warning earlier to be careful - she could take a hit or two. She wanted to take a hit or two, sort of. Maybe it'd make up for her rude behavior she had shown him so far in the most of their time spend together.
A young woman came to speak with them and Evil listened quietly to the conversation. She caught the flirting between the two yet her expression remained without emotion. On the inside she felt her heart sink as well as envy burning up her veins. That girl didn't deserve those flirts and she didn't deserve to flirt back. She didn't deserve it...she just didn't! But how could she think she, herself, did? Evil was just another woman (*coughwhorecough*) to Haru - most likely - and he was acting out of sympathy toward her because of her mistaken pregnancy. Her posture slumped at the thought and her eyes had momentarily closed as a frown had crossed her lips. Why the fuck did she care? It wasn't like he was anything to her. Just a man -like she was just a woman to him- whom she had slept with. Though he was slightly special...just slightly...because he had been the first one. But that was it. Wasn't it?
Wasn't it...?
They were lead to a table and when Haru wasn't looking, Evil flashed her fangs at the woman and gave a low snarl for her ears only. Her eyes had narrowed and darkened and the message was pretty obvious. Do it again - die. Then she - pleased with herself- took a seat and looked at the food. It was the same thing they had at dinner about a month ago - basically. She went to eating her food and her ears twitched as he talked back to her earlier comment on stealing. "Hm," she responded, distracted, and shrugged. She didn't care if he stole or not. She didn't care at all...right?

And so another quiet dinner had come and gone. What fun, Haru thought with a frown. Guess she's not much of a talker when it comes to dinner time. As Haru waited for Evil to finish up her food her leaned further into the back of his chair and propped his feet up on the table, crossing one ankle over the other. Crossing his arms behind his head, Haru looked about at the poor slobs who were sitting at the tables. An elderly man, scarily thin, was working hard on a piece of stale bread while a rather burly, hairy man was indulging himself in one of the life's pleasures - whores - in a dark corner near the back of the inn. It had been a while since Haru had done that himself. Then again, he could get someone much better than a whore, and it wouldn't cost him. Haru closed his eyes and sat quietly for a while, thinking on where to go next, until the barmaid returned to the table. Her eyes were fixed on Evil as she leaned over Haru to grab his plate. The Izumi male's eyes opened quickly and watched the woman, noticing that the dress she was wearing was quite revealing from a top angle. Haru's brows raised slightly and he sat still until she had collected all of the plates and walked off.
"Well, then..." he murmured, watching her as she walked into the kitchen. Shaking his head, Haru pushed his chair back and stood up; he grabbed the room key and looked at Evil. "Ready to go up?" He waited a couple of moments for her reply, and then headed up the stairs.
In the room Haru followed his usual bedtime routine - he removed his shoes and folded his tunic and shirt after he had removed them. He placed the pieces of clothing on the floor (in a neat pile) next to the bed before removing his trousers and slipping into the warmth beneath the blankets. A loud yawn escaped his mouth and he crossed his arms behind his head. What a day, he thought, what a day. ...

It was another quiet dinner but that was only because of Evil's obviously distracted mind. Her eyes were blank and she had played with her food often. It had gotten cold before she had really finished what she wanted and pushed the rest aside. She really hadn't gotten all she wanted because her appetite was suddenly gone. Never had she felt so confused in her life and depressed. Maybe it was the hormones? Were they already screwing around with her? This was going to be a very long nine months. What made it worse was - the bitch did it again!
Filthy slut! She yelled into the woman's mind and flashed her fangs in her direction. She didn't care if Haru noticed her baring her fangs this time. If he asked about it she'd make up some bullshit excuse. Her eyes became darker with venom and lighter in color as they began to turn crimson. Go burn in Hell!
When she had walked away, Evil looked down and her eyes went crimson. The shadows slithered toward the girl and followed her back into the room where she got her food. It was there they would proceed to tripping her and begin to cut into her body. One would even slip inside of her and begin to destroy her lower area so that no man would ever want her. Not like she was going to live for that, anyways. Less someone could stop the horrible bleeding she would get from getting her ovaries and such ripped off. She smirked a devil's smirk because no one was going to hear her. She made sure that her vocal cords had been crushed as well. Evil was almost tempted to laugh. That is what you get for crossing me...bitch. She had to hold back her laughter - knowing that the pathetic human could no respond. She couldn't wait to hear about her death in the morning. Evil would just smile.
Making her expression leave to be blank, she looked at Haru. Suddenly she felt angry with him. But why was she making such a big deal out of it? They weren't together or anything. Evil wanted no part of it! She suddenly thought it was a huge mistake to have come with him. If she was going to feel like this and do this every single time...she was going to lose it. Her mind suddenly thought about running away. She could leave him to being his man-whorish (because it was so obvious he was.) self. Then she could leave free and without this horrible feeling tearing her up inside. Why couldn't all the females just die?
"Yeah, sure," her response was curt as she stood up. "Though, are you sure you'd rather not be somewhere else?" With that - she waited for no response - Evil went to their room. Yet again she was being rude...but he damned deserved it. He wouldn't know Evil and Evil wasn't exactly sure why, but he deserved it. In the room she merely sat and stared out the window, ignoring his presence. He could sleep if he wanted, Evil just wanted to...
Evil didn't know what she wanted to do. She felt ...envious? It made her want to cry...but why? Because the man-whore didn't want her and just her? Her eyes rolled and she rested her chin against the window seal. She hated these sudden mood changes she was going through. She was angry, depressed, envious...it was all too much for her. She blamed the hormones, but those weren't supposed to be messing with her yet, were they? Then what was it? What feeling was causing all these other feelings and driving her off the edge? Making it to where she wanted to run away from him - when he was asleep.

Haru lay quietly in bed for a while, waiting to see if she would join him. Fat chance, actually. He wasn't going to ask, either, due to the sudden sour mood which had possessed the woman at dinner. What was wrong with her? He frowned and closed his eyes. She got mad when the waitress was around - maybe that was it... women grew jealous when it came to other women flirting with the men they cared for. But that would mean she had some feelings for him. This stumped him for a few moments. Furrowing his brows, Haru rubbed his forehead. Now she was mad at him? Apparently. She wasn't talking to him, and that comment before they had gone up was a little... harsh?
Wait, so, suddenly it was all his fault? That the waitress had flirted with him? That he had flirted back? Hell, it wasn't at all his fault - Evil wasn't his "mate" or whatever, she was only some girl he had slept with and gotten pregnant. Haru ground his teeth together and let out a frustrated sigh. He had promised to be there and help her with the kid, but - dammit - if she was going to act like this he wasn't going to put up with it. She could raise the damn kid on her own.
Then he calmed down. Haru (in his mind) believed he wasn't at fault, that it was simply Evil reacting to some new emotion within herself. He sighed once more and shook his head before sitting up. "Listen," he started, "I told you I'd help you, but if you're going to be like this - angry at me for absolutely nothing - all the time, then I'll just leave you be. You act like that's how you want things." Haru was quiet for a while, then added, "anyways, it's not like we're "together" or anything, so you've no right to blow up at me for a little flirting."

His words hit her hard for some reason and she felt her heart begin to hurt with every beat. Evil shut her eyes tightly and shuddered, clenching her teeth. She didn't want to deal with this. She didn't want to cry because of him every day. Every time she had met him so far she had cried. All he was doing here was hurting her. And what kind of influence would he be on the kid? Would he turn him into a whore, too? Evil wasn't about to allow this to happen. She swore she'd make sure to beat him till her knuckles bled if he ruined her child. It was slightly surprising to her that it was suddenly "her child." Evil didn't like kids, but one was growing inside of her. One she'd have to deal with for a lot of her life. So she might as well try to help it be a good child so she didn't kill it or dump it.
Her nails dug into the seal and she slowly stood up. She wasn't going to put up with these feelings. They would never be returned and it was pointless to stay with him. They weren't going anywhere. "Then I'll leave." She spun around to face him, "I'll leave right now. This is pointless. Utterly pointless. What's going to happen after the kid is born? We can't just stay together and have things like this!" Her teeth bared and she gave a low growl, "we're not going anywhere with this. It was stupid and we shouldn't have done this in the first place. All I am to you is a woman, a woman you got pregnant and now feel sorry for. I'm not staying with that being known in the back of my head."
She snorted and stepped away from the window, moving toward the door. "There's nothing here. Never will be, will there? You didn't want anything to do with it in the first place." She sighed and began to shake a bit, "have a good life. I'll find a way to cope with our...my...child." With that she opened the door and stepped out, closing it and then leaning against it. Her hands moved up and rubbed her face. This was all a mistake...all a stupid mistake...she felt so stupid and blind now. Where was she going to go? What was she going to do? She had a whole life of suffering ahead of her...
Evil moved away from the door and started down the hallway. She would find somewhere to sleep tonight. She had already paid for Haru's room, she could consider it the last nice thing she ever did for him. It was horrible - this emotion- and it was killing her on the inside. How did one get so attached? All he had done was sleep with her. And showed her kindess...because he was different...and probably the only pure blood she'd ever sort of like.
She wiped her eyes and hid the pain as the words still rang in her ears. She was such an idiot. But she was a pretty proud idiot. I'm not gonna cry over you anymore...

Haru sat in the still darkness of the room, his back propped against the headboard of the bed. She had been gone for a while and, no, he wasn't going to chase her. He was coming to the slow realization that... he was his father. A fool. Where his problems had been centered mainly around alcohol, Haru's problems were focused on women. Really, it was an insecurity of his. He didn't want to get too close - and he got dangerously close with Evil. He didn't want to lose someone else... "There's only one way to guarantee that," Haru spoke softly, "don't let anyone in."
So, he'd live with the knowledge that he had a son, and would be no part of. There was a chance that even if he looked for Evil, she would do whatever she could to avoid him. A soft laugh shook Haru. "History repeats itself," his voice faded into silence, "guess that's a true statement." He was becoming his father, that's exactly what was happening - a weak man who couldn't stand the emotional kind of pain. Anyways... what Evil didn't know is that after that night with her, Haru hadn't been with another woman. Hadn't thought about sleeping with another woman.
He sat in bed for a few hours, relishing the silent darkness. When others within the Inn began to move about he decided to go. Grabbing his clothes Haru dressed and exited through the window. Sliding off the roof he landed deftly upon his feet with a slight scuffling sound a boot makes when it hits rock. He brushed off whatever dirt his clothes had collected from the floor and looked around for the small clothes shop that the town had.
After borrowing a new shirt, tunic, and belt from the store he had found, Haru was on his way out of the village and off to tackle whatever came his way.
