Azusa had never been the type of person to use that oh, so strong word "hate", but right now Azu was terribly frustrated. It was dark - and she hated the dark. She was in a tree. She hated trees; to top it off, she was dying of hunger. Her stomach had been growling, and slowly ingesting itself over the past three hours. Now, at this point in time, she hated life. But, dammit, she was going to get that apple!
The apple was the only one left in the tree (probably because it was at the top), and it looked very delicious. It's skin was a bright ruby red and therefore very appetizing to the hungry eye. Azusa had been climbing for a while and now, with her prize so close at hand, Azusa was beaming with joy. She'd soon be out of the tree and have something in her belly. A broad smile swept across her pretty face like a wildfire, and left her beaming with pride and hopeful happiness.
Deciding that it should be in reach Azusa wrapped her arms tightly around the branch and scooted forward another couple inches (the last few inches she would ever dare scoot on this branch). After a few minutes of waiting, the Mizuno carefully extended a long, graceful arm towards the ruby-red fruit. It's color was hypnotizing, and instigated a loud growl from the girl's stomach. Grimacing at the hunger pains Azu released a frustrated, whimpering noise. The apple was so close, yet so far away! She could brush her finger tips over it's smooth red skin, but she couldn't get her fingers around the fruit! Dropping her arm and resting her forehead against the rough bark of the branch the girl gave a half-defeated sigh and muttered a few sentences of innocent curses. Moving any further out onto the branch would most likely cause it to snap, and her to fall - what? - one soft red eye opened and measured the distance from the branch to the ground - 20 feet? more? She was going to kill herself over a stupid apple!
A few moments of dead silence was shattered when Azusa's stomach let out an embarrassingly loud growl. A bright blush swiftly flooded her face with hot blood and instantly she hid her face in her hands until it faded. "Fine," she said with a defeated sigh, "fine." Gripping the branch, Azu inched forward just a bit more on the branch and slowly reached towards the apple. This time her fingers securely wrapped around the apple. A grenade of happiness exploded within Azusa and a broad smile curved her lips, exposing her white teeth. There was a small problem, though. Picking the fruit seemed to present some difficulties - the horrid thing wouldn't come off! A cry of exasperation slipped from her lips followed by an ebb of anger. Sitting up and collecting strength in her arms Azu tugged at the apple until it popped off it's stem. "Finally!" She exclaimed, holding the sweet-looking fruit up so she could admire the fruits (ha) of her labor. It was beautiful, and now it was hers to eat. She had conquered the tree (in the dark, too) and had defied gravity! Victory was hers, and - oh - it looked so sweet.
But, gravity was not satisfied - nor was it happy that someone had so easily overcome it's power. And so, with the ways of the universe, there came the balancing force to Azusa's sudden happiness. Beneath her the tree branch shuddered, and with a loud splintering snap, it dropped from the tree and hit the ground with a crackling, thunderous thud while - in the background - there was Azu's terrified yelp as she plummeted to the ground.
She laid there in the grass for some time, terrified. She gazed up at the dark, star-dappled sky, thinking she had broken something and now she couldn't feel or move anything. But, when she realized her entire body was shaking from the fear of death, and nothing hurt too terribly, she slowly stood up and brushed herself off. Taking a few minutes to inspect herself Azusa found that nothing was broken, and that she only had a few minor cuts and bruises. Her white dress, which ended just below her knees had been ripped from her waist down on her right side. On the other hand, her red corset looked unharmed. Then it hit her - where was her apple? Azusa's maroon eyes widened slightly and she looked carefully around the area where she had fallen. It was no where to be found. She had lost her prize which she had fought so valiantly for. She plopped down on the fallen branch and let out a distressed sigh. "Why does life have to be so difficult?" She asked, and then proceeded to pout.

It was another assignment that he was to complete and that was all it should've been. But it seems that things were not going as planned as Hindari sped away from the barrier on all fours. His mission had been simply to find a weak spot in the barrier that protected Tsukiyomi from demons and vampires. But everywhere he had touched he had felt a jolt of electricity shoot through his body. So far there was no weakness to Aurelia's spell that kept Tsukiyomi thriving and well. Hindari had observed very closely that humans were not affected in the least by the barrier. They would peacefully walk through and he was sure some were hardly or not aware of its existance. Yet when he touched the invisible wall it was completely different for him. The wall detected the demonic blood that pulsed through his veins? Maybe that was the way it knew. Or was there some other mysterious attribute he had yet to uncover? Did it only keep those out with evil intent? No, he was quite sure from the minds of some of the individuals that they would've been blasted out. So it was safe to assume that was not a possibility. But he kept it stored in the chamber in the back of his mind just in case. It was likely he would never need the thought again but it was better to play it safe. Being safe was what kept you from being killed.
But now he was being chased off by some angry beings that had spotted his 'interesting and mischevious' actions. Hindari had been forced to turn on one as he had lifted a club to attempt to smack him in the side of the head. His fangs had sank into the male's dirty hand (it was not a pleasant taste) and the man had howled in pain. The taste of blood had entered Hindari's mouth in a rush and while it was blissful to most Izumi, Hindari found the taste of blood disguisting and unsatisfying. But he had to deal with it because it had been a time where it was required to attack. Though he had quickly let go and now fled with all his inhuman speed to get away from the three who hauled after him as fast as their lungs and legs would allow. It was not long before he easily lost them and a term he thought was fitting for the situation was that they had 'eaten his dust' or something like that. Hindari was not one to muddle over such pointless things.
His pace slowed and soon he came to a complete hault and lifted back onto two legs. He wiped his hands off against each other and watched dust flow off them. Then he quickly wiped his mouth and and tried to spat out the horrible taste in his mouth. Blood wasn't that good but dirt, grease, and blood mixed together was just plain disgusting. He frowned and figured it was time to find something to distract him from the taste. Hindari stuffed his hands in his pockets and proceeded to walking at a leisurly pace down the dirt trail he was on. A yawn escaped him and he shook his head to get some hair out of his face. He wished the sunlight would return soon as it seemed everything was growing sicker or paler by the day. Even his skin was starting to pale to an unnatural color and losing its peach tints. It didn't bother him at all but the plants dying off would be a bad thing. Plants needed sunlight or certain spells that can be used to survive. Hindari didn't know spells that would help a plant and being the only Izumi that refused meat and prefered fruits and vegetables - he doubted he would soon learn. Yin probably knew a lot about the spells but he doubted his teacher would teach him 'pointless' spells. She only wanted to waste her time with him teaching him something that would be productive in the long run. It wasn't like he couldn't live off meat and that's the excuse she would use against him to deny his request. It caused a small grimace to spread across his normally expressionless or serious face.
Taking in a soft breath of air he released it in a sigh and closed his eyes. His ears became his eyes now and he listened for things that could be considered unnatural. There was hardly a fraction of a chance the men had bothered to follow him. They had chased him away and that had been their actual intent, not to kill him. So there was no worries about an attack from them. But who knew what else was within this area? Other demons or vampires could be lingering and if one wanted to pick a fight, he looked like a pretty good canidate.
His foot suddenly hit gently against something and he listened as it rolled away from him. His dark eyes opened slowly to spot a round, red shape about a foot away from him. Not a split second later did he hear a thunderous crash and his head turned quickly in that general direction. Quickly and instinctively he took in the air and searched for a scent or some sort. But the wind was not in his favor for this one and he picked up nothing. Hindari remained still for quite some time, making all his senses as sharp as he could. His body was still relaxed and nonchalant but inside he was on high alert. He was waiting for whatever had made such a loud noise. Could a tree have just fallen because it was its time? Or had something knocked it down? Was it even a tree at all?
Slowly he would move over toward the apple, bending down and picking it up. Had whatever caused the noise been trying to get this? Hindari held it to his nose and sniffed it, pulling back in a slight, quick motion to realize a demonic scent was on it. The sweet scent of a Mizuno female had filled his nostrils. Mizuno only ate fruits and greens as well so he assumed a Mizuno had taken a pretty hard hit to the ground.
Hindari followed where he had heard the crash until he reached the origin. He took shelter within the shadows and gazed out with his cool gaze. Out ahead was a pouting female, he noted, and also not just any female - a Mizuno female. But from what he could tell she was alone. Was she a loner? His eyes skimmed over her to see that she seemed like she was hungry. While the apple would take the taste of blood out of his mouth, Hindari decided to be a gentleman instead. He kneeled down and placed the apple on the ground and with a nice, smooth flick of his hand he made it roll out to the girl until it hit her feet. Then he quickly stood back up and moved further back into the shadows to keep himself hidden. He didn't need her knowing he was there...

Starvation. That would be her death. It always came down to horrible things like this. Last time it was dehydration, and had it not been for that nice old man she would've died. She was grateful to him for providing her with food and water, but such provisions vanish quickly when they're small in numbers. He had offered her more, but by the looks of things he would've starved himself, or gotten hurt in the process of collecting more food.
Vermilion eyes drifted down toward her skirt, and delicate hands grabbed the two edges of the split fabric. "My favorite, too," Azu whined to herself. It seemed as if a cloud of bad luck was hovering about her lately. Besides nearly dying of dehydration, and the recent adventure with the apple, Azusa had lost her pouch (which had her remaining money and a few other important items) during a struggle with some thugs, and repeatedly stubbed her right big-toe.
Tears welled up in her eyes, and she quickly shut them and turned her nose up in an attempt to keep them from spilling out of the corner of her eyes. She sat there for a few moments, as still as a statue, while she grappled with the stinging emotion. When everything had been smoothed out the snow-haired girl shook her head and sighed. "I'll have to work again to get the money to fix this," Azu mumbled to herself as she turned her eyes skyward. When things got bad she loved to look at the stars and enjoy the cool breath of wind against her pale skin. As she watched the sky a soft light arched over the world, a long tail of light trailing behind it. "A shooting star," Azu whispered to herself while another wide smile captured her lips. Closing her eyes, she thought about what she would wish for... "I wish the sun would come back," she said quietly. If it came back everything would be so much easier... so much happier...
Truthfully, Azusa had never actually seen a shooting star before. This had been the first time she had ever seen one. Her mother, Aimi, had told her stories about them when she was a child. About how they were the guardians of the sky, fairies who raced through the shadows who granted wishes to those who needed them most. Of course, those were just fairy-tales, and the cold hard truth about it was that the world was a horridly cruel place. Azusa remembered when the village had run her off - just after they had killed her parents. Where had the guardian been, then? Her gentle eyes saddened while her delicate hands grasped the soft fabric of her slip. Looking at the ground Azu began to plan out what to do next. The next village was a days journey from this spot, she guessed. She'd just barely make it without food, but she was sure there was a river or something along the way to provide her water.
As she sketched out her plan in her mind, Azusa wasn't aware of the apple rolling towards her, nor was she at all expecting it. As soon as the fruit tapped her foot a burst of fear and surprise surged through her body. Her hairs stood on end and a terrified yelp leapt from her mouth as she tumbled backwards off the branch. She sat curled behind the branch for a few minutes shivering and waiting for someone (or something) to continue attacking her. But nothing happened... Carefully she peered over the branch and looked around. What had tapped her? Then she spotted it... the apple... confusion swept over her features and Azusa leaned over the branch - resting her stomach on it - and gently poked the apple. "Apple's aren't supposed to move on their own," she said to the apple, not expecting it to reply. Then the force of her own words hit her. Something had to have tossed the apple back at her. A shudder ran through her body. Was someone watching her? Azu sank a bit behind the branch and looked around nervously. Did she have a stalker? If she did... how was she going to defend herself out here?! And if she couldn't see them... how would she know where to run? Biting her lower lip, Azu gathered as much courage as she could and called out into the darkness a little bluff. "C-come out! ... I know where you are, a-and I won't hesitate to hurt you!" Hurt? Ha! She couldn't even hurt a flower. What the heck was she doing?!

He hadn't expected her to freak out like she did. Hindari found himself almost chuckling to her reaction. A small grin had appeared on his face and he shook his head. Mizuno could be so jumpy, how could the humans fear such harmless demons? He observed that she had ran and hid from the fruit - probably thinking it was an enemy of some sort. It was strange, but he had seen earlier that she seemed depressed. If she was so hungry and alone, why not return to her clan? Hindari thought back to his own clan and how it could be a huge support in times of need. He never went without training, food, or water. Everyone in the clan was always well fed and protected and in order because of Yin. He held respect for the cruel leader and his 'mother.' She had been kind enough to take him in when she could've just killed him. Hindari gladly served the Izumi clan with the skills he had. What he didn't get was why the Izumi females seem to be awed by him.
Every day he caught their stares and how they gushed over him. He would merely stare at them and then carry on. None of them were worth paying much attention to. He clearly was very busy and had a lot of work to do. He shook his head slightly and his attention returned to the female who was playing with the apple. He yawned and watched her as she spoke to it. That made him frown and wonder if she had hit her head. Apples didn't talk. Was she...ok?
Hindari listened to her bluff, obviously knowing it was fake. But deciding to humor her he slowly made his way out of the shadows. His eyes shifted around as he watched for others. Then he looked straight toward Azusa and stared blankly at her. "..." He had no intentions of speaking to her. He actually debated walking away from the place right now. He wondered what everyone at home was doing. He wondered what chores he had to do when he got back...
He was hardly aware she was still standing there.

Tremors of fear rattled her frail frame as she looked nervously about the small area. Behind her the apple tree stood tall and strong, it's long, twisted branches reaching out into the open air with sharp points. Its green leaves trembled in the nighttime wind, adding a steady melody for the night creatures to sing along to. Licking her dry lips quickly, Azusa glanced around nervously. Maybe there hadn't been anyone there, and the apple had rolled off of something. Deciding that was how it had happened, she slowly stepped over the log and picked up the bright red fruit with a smile.
That's where is rapidly went down hill. She hadn't heard him, nor seen him move out into the open, and when she had straightened her posture she came face to face with the demon. Azusa's face went pale, her smile quickly faded, and her heart thudded against her rib cage. She was almost paralyzed with fear. An Izumi, she thought as he breath caught in her lungs. Aimi had told her to be wary of them, that they were wicked demons who thirsted for the blood of a man and hungered for their flesh. As far as Azusa knew, she was a human some serious aging malfunctions. That's everything that she knew. Her knowledge about the world was limited; as a child she had lived an extremely sheltered life, and the only kind of demon she was aware of was an Izumi.
Breaking through her barrier of paralysis, Azusa took a step backward while keeping an eye on the man... who... struck the faintest of chords in the depths of her mind. Why was he so familiar? She had never met him in her life! How could she know him? Maybe he had been a face in a crowd? Right now talking wasn't an option. Even if her legs did work, any kind of vocalization was out of the question.
As she watched him - just standing there - anger flared up in her. For one, she was hungry. For two, she ached all over. And for three, her slip was ruined and she felt like she was backed into a corner and her only way out was to resort to clawing, biting, kicking, slapping - whatever - to save her life. "You horrible things!" Azu suddenly exclaimed while trying to give him a dirty look (something she had never been able to master). At this point her so-called 'glare' was a mixture of fear and a state very close to tears. "You terrible, stupid....." she stuttered as she looked for a word, but only did a roundabout, "things!" She took another quick step backward. "You shouldn't pop up out of nowhere," continued Azusa, holding up her free hand and shaking it at him. "It's not nice at all, no one appreciates being frightened like that." She gave a shoulder-heaving huff and crossed her arms over her chest. "Go bother a demon, or something, and leave us humans alone!" Now she was a little more brave and her glare was actually starting to look like a glare. Azu tightened her jaw, and took another step backwards as she opened her mouth to scold him even more.
And she came tumbling down. As she had stepped backwards her heel had caught a root, and now the sky was the only thing she could see, and a dull pulsing pain was the only thing she could feel. "Hnnn," Azu managed to get out as she sat up and rubbed the back of her head. I just can't win today, she whimpered to herself.

Hindari had obviously startled her as she went pale and his ears picked up her heart beating against her ribcage. His thoughts stopped and his coal eyes shifted slowly toward her. Would she choose to attack him? Hindari's eyes gazed over her and he didn't see any sign of her starting a fight. Hopefully she wouldn't mistake him for 'checking her out' or whatever girls think males are doing when they look at their body. If she were to accuse him of it, Hindari figured he would automatically rolls his eyes. She didn't know who he was but if she did then she'd know he'd never be doing that. He wondered how many people found her attractive. He was not ever affected by such a thing as 'attraction.' Never had he laid eyes on a female and felt captured by that feeling that he had heard described to him many times over. He wasn't exactly waiting for it to happen, either. Hindari was not interested in love. Nor was he like other males and want to be touched in such a way as most males want to be touched. He would much rather remain a 'virgin.'
He felt something hit him in a wave. A form of emotion was coming from the female. Hindari noticed how she was suddenly angered. It was she who asked him to come out, so why was she suddenly angry? Her explosion made a small smile of pure amusement spread across his lips. He couldn't help but be amused as the Mizuno demon backed herself into a corner and yelled at him like he was some rabid animal. He was the predator and she was the prey in her eyes, apparently. But at the mention of humans, he blinked.
Hindari gave a shrug in her direction, did she think she was a human? What a strange demon...she obviously should be able to tell she was different. He wanted nothing to do with her - so he listened and with a yawn turned and strolled off. She was a confused demon who thought she was a pathetic human being. Maybe one day she'd learn of her true heritage - but Hindari had not the time to really meddle with her. It didn't seem like he was wanted around, anyways.
His eyes skimmed about and he caught sight of the apple. Bending down, he picked it up and tore it in half. He looked back toward the Mizuno who had fallen to the ground. Then he threw -gently- half of the apple in her lap. Then he sank his fangs in the other half and proceeded to eat it as he continued on his own way.

The pulsing pain that sat heavily on the back of her skull was toe-curling. Azusa closed her eyes tightly and inhaled a deep breath. That had hurt. Falling always hurt. Maybe she hit a rock or something. Opening an eye, Azusa looked at her hand which had been rubbing the aching area. There wasn't any blood, thankfully, but the swell of anger within her had faded to a self-pitying pain.
As a child Azusa had loved to climb trees - she would always climb a magnolia tree near her parents house. She loved climbing it, because when she was up there she could see a beautiful view of the deep valley below. A river which flowed to the place where the earth became one with the sky. Sunsets were beautiful, too, she missed them terribly. In that tree one would get the full force of the setting sun - the valley would become red and orange while the water became a sparkling river of gold. Another reason she love the tree so much is because every time she came down, she'd smell of the flowers when they were in bloom. Her mother, Aimi, enjoyed that smell a lot. Then her fear for trees came in when a group of demons had ravaged the town and... and...
The scene was so vivid - she could even still recall the smell of the air. Smoke, death, blood, and a faint hint of sweet magnolia. Her body tensed as the wound within her reopened and spilled those bottled up emotions back into her system. She had been trying to forget it, to keep it locked away in her box of memories. She had promised never to look back... Tears threatened to choke her and spill from her eyes, but something plopped down in her lap. Azusa opened her eyes and looked at the apple half. She picked it up carefully, and turned it to it's rounded side. So red... it was so red... as red as the ground beneath the tree. A delicate sigh escaped her lips and she looked down at the grass, then up to the moon which hung in full glory against the dark blanket of night. Some tears had formed in her eyes, which she wiped away with the back of her hand.
She sat in silence for a moment, pondering on the thought of sleep, and wondering if she'd see- Azusa gasped sharply, and hopped up. Her red eyes shifted about the area, looking for that man - him! He had been in her dreams, that's how she knew him! But he wasn't there. Where had he gone? Still holding the other half of the apple, Azusa started off in the direction - which she thought - he had gone. She moved quickly, yet gingerly, through the thick bracken of the forest. Hopefully he was close by, she had to make absolutely sure it was him. Before long she could see the moonlight through the edge of the trees. She was close to a field, or something, because just a few yards back the forest was nothing but shadows. She burst out of the tree line, her heart racing, and looked about the field of barley which shifted gently in the midnight wind. He was nowhere to be found. Her delicate shoulders slumped. "I can't believe I didn't notice who he was, earlier... or who he looked a lot like... then again it's dark, so... oh, I don't know." Azusa glanced down at the half which he had thrown her and brought it up to her lips. No sense in wasting what she had worked hard to get. She stood in silence as she ate the apple, and tossed the half of the core into the tall grass after finishing it.
Something in the tall grasses below shifted. Azusa's heart leapt with joy. She had caught up with him! Hurrying towards the figure Azusa began to wonder what to say to him, if she could say anything... if he would say anything back... he didn't seem to enjoy her presence, and might grow annoyed with her. She frowned slightly, and decided she wouldn't say anything... unless... unless she was sure it was the man in her dreams.
She stopped behind the figure and carefully tapped it's shoulder. No response. Azu tapped his shoulder once again and moved in front of the figure. Clapping her hands over her mouth to muffle a cry of surprise Azusa stared wide-eyed at the thing she had just been tapping. Someone - human? demon? vampire? she wasn't sure - was tied to a post with a cloak tied about their shoulders and a hood placed over their head. From the back they looked alive... but now... their face was the pale color of death marked with bruises and stained with blood. The eyes had been removed and the mouth had been sewn shut. Two empty, bleeding sockets gazed back at Azusa. A chill rattled her body as she took a step back and turned her eyes away from the appalling display.
Suddenly something big and heavy flew by her head - missing by mere centimeters. Wide-eyed, Azusa flinched away from the object and dropped to the ground. What was going on!? Heavy foot steps started towards her, followed by a few voices. Peering above the grass, Azusa saw three men running towards her, one had a club in hand. Terror-stricken, Azusa scrambled to her feet and ran through the field on stumbling legs. She was still starving and had been scared too many times tonight for her legs to work correctly. Twice she fell to her hands and closer then men got. What did they want from her? She hadn't done anything to harm them!
Their deep voices rang in her ears, but one word seemed to catch her off guard. "Demon" is what they called her. And that's what brought her down. Azusa tumbled to the ground in a trembling, panting clutter of confusion. She wasn't a demon, why would they think she was? Two of the men grabbed her shoulders and yanked her to her feet while the third stood in front of her, his club resting on his shoulder. "You're making a mistake," Azusa said between breaths while shaking her head, "I'm not a demon!" She laughed a bit and offered a smile while looking about the three. "I'm just like you-- a human." The man before her shook his head. "Just like a demon, trying to call itself a human to wriggle its way out of death so it can turn the tables on us." A scowl crossed Azusa's features. "I'm not a demon! My parents were both human! I hate demons, they... they killed the only family I had." "Likely story," replied the man as he motioned towards his two companions. "Let's finish this up quickly, then we'll be on our way." Finish what up? Azusa asked herself, glancing about the group of men. Then she remembered the person she had seen tied to that pole...

Hindari had been well on his way home when he had noticed the three that had been chasing him earlier. The Izumi had stopped and observed their actions as what he thought was a trap was set. Were they trying to catch him? Did they really think a dead body was going to draw him toward them? Hindari frowned and thought about the Mizuno, but Mizuno didn't eat meat. He shook his head but a breeze made him turn his head and blink. Was she...following him? He really hoped she was 'in love' with him like the many other females he knew were. He really didn't want another stalker because they just got in his way. Hindari found it slightly annoying and would often use his favorite phrase while rubbing his forehead. 'Please think things through before you act' was a line he was quite sure he used often. It seemed to him that he may be using that line very soon.
Hindari stayed within the safety of the forest line and gazed out at the still, dead body that was left there to decay. He crouched down on all fours and sniffed the air again and scented the female was coming this way quickly. Hindari remained utterly still as she came out into view and slumped. What was she sad or disappointed about? That she couldn't find him? Hindari scooted forward ever so slightly in preparation and his muscles tensed - ready to spring if needed. Though in his calculations - if she was looking for him - it was going to be needed. The humans were close to him so he stayed still as a statue just like them. While he could take them out right now and it be over with he decided to wait till it was absolutely necessary.
After finishing off the half of the apple he had given her, she had saw the figure and was moving toward it. Hindari shook his head and grimaced, displeased that she was doing this. This was a stupid action since she didn't know who it was. It seemed like he was going to use his ever-so-famous line today like he had predicted. She covered her mouth and looked away in disgust as he figured the body looked rather horrible. The smell of it should've been enough for her to know it was dead. But since she figured she was a human, Hindari wondered if she was even close to aware of her keen senses. They were probably all dulled due to the fact she didn't use them. But didn't she ever recognize her fangs? Didn't she ever see her claws? What made her so determined that she was a human? Hindari had thought at first she was a half breed but there was no mistake by the smell of her blood she was full.
The club had barely missed her and the chase was on, Hindari followed quietly within the trees. The poor girl was just scared stiff today, wasn't she? He actually felt a slight feeling of pity toward her but it was something that could be easily shrugged off. Would she realize it now from this experience what she really was? The males were screaming demon at her so shouldn't it be obvious by now? He closed his eyes and shook his head, it would depend on the situation.
Hindari skidded to a stop when she finally fell down and stayed there, trembling. Two of the males held her while the one with the club prepared to kill her. She was trying to talk them out of it - trying to decieve them. But they were not going to listen to it. Hindari saw it and they saw it - she was obviously a demon. But from what he gathered he finally knew why she was so confused. Humans had decided to raise her and then later were killed. He snorted at the thought of being raised by humans. It would weaken her senses for sure and she knew nothing about her abilities. He was assuming all this from the fact she seemed basically helpless while they were about to bash her head in. With a quick movement he was out from his hiding spot, slashing his claws across one's throat, and gone. It was a good way to create confusing as he spun around and did it again, but this time completely decapitating the other.
He appeared in front of her, standing in front of her and looking blankly at the one with the club. "You're causing me a lot of trouble," he said with a sigh, "please think before you act." With that he moved quickly toward the remaining human and ducked as he swung his club. Though he felt it connect and pain in the side of his head. His mouth opened and he let out a growl as he was crouched. Ignoring the pain, he pushed forward and sank his fangs down into the male's neck, crushing it before pulling it out and spitting it out.
When it was all said and done, Hindari wiped the blood away from his mouth and spit the rest out. Then he placed one hand in his pocket and lifted the other to feel the side of his head. When he pulled it away from the sticky area he saw red and blinked. Shaking his head, he wiped his hand off and looked toward the Mizuno. "You are a demon - like it or not. You should be more careful." Then he began on his way home again, figuring Yin was going to throw a hissy fit over this. Especially since he got injured because of it and then after listening to her yell he would go and see Seth. He didn't really expect to ever see the girl again.

Blood. It was suddenly all over. Spurting from necks into the air, pooling on the ground, filling her nose. It was an appalling smell, one that knotted her stomach and almost caused her to lose what little food she had been able to scavenge over the past couple hours. She felt something spatter against her cheek. More blood from one of the men's necks. She reached up and smeared the liquid onto her hand and across her cheek. Holding her hand up she observed the red liquid as it glistened in the moonlight. It was warm, thick, and filled the air with a metallic smell. Azusa shook her head lightly. "I'm not..." she began, her voice trembling. "I'm not..." This was something she couldn't accept, she didn't want to. But the knowledge... the realization... she was a demon, wasn't she? A horrible being, something no one liked... how could her parents not tell her...? Azu's throat constricted as she realized that she wasn't like everyone else, that she was a monster.
No one had ever accepted her. And now, just now, she realized that every time she approached someone they had a wary look in her eye... or whenever she looked at a child the mother would grabs them and give her a look of warning. If she were to love... she'd outlive them. If they were human... but what demon would want a - she shuddered to accept the title - demon like her, one who was helpless and didn't even know how to be a demon.
Azusa's distant eyes shifted up towards the male and she shook her head slightly. "How was I supposed to know they would do that?" came her quiet voice, directed more towards whatever omnipresent being was supposed to be looking over all beings. Apparently there was none, though, for if there was a being with such power... why would they allow such a perverted twist in her life? She had never done anything wrong, mean, or even slightly vicious. "How was I supposed to know I was a demon?" Her words drifted off into silence and she watched him go - again. This time, though, she had seen what she needed to see... yes... that had been the man she had seen in her dreams, but no, it didn't mean anything. Only to her. He had no idea who she was and vise versa. Swallowing that pill was hard, because it meant that she was completely alone after thinking - for so long - that when she had finally found him, it would've been a romantic meeting and a happily-ever-after-ending.
Where had the world left her now? Stranded and alone, that's where. In the middle of the field, where the man - who she thought would love her - was walking away without the slightest care. "Why didn't you just let them kill me!" She was angry again, but this time terrible confused. Her whole world had been turned upside down and now it seemed she had nothing left here for her. "Bastard," she said though clenched teeth and squeezed her eyes shut in an attempt - which failed - to dam the flood of tears.

Women were the most confusing thing to Hindari. He would never understand the female mind no matter how hard he tried. Usually one would be grateful for a mere stranger to go out of his way to save ones life. But the female had grown angry with him and was yelling at him. He stopped and sighed, wondering why he even bothered to deal with this confused demon. He turned his head slightly but his eyes shifted to look into hers. She was so full of emotion like most females were while his were serious with a cold blankness. "Do you want to die?" He merely asked before shrugging slightly, "you didn't look like it."
He slowly turned to face her, hands remaining in his pockets and body posture remaining relaxed. Blood dripped from the side of his head down to his jawline and then fell to the ground. The smell of it was unpleasant. "You should go home. Yang will help you, Mizuno. They live within the beach area." He watched her intently, wondering what was getting her so worked up. Was she on the thing that females got? It was called a 'period' and it wasn't inviting to be around a female when they had it. They were always so moody - well - moodier then usual. Even when around Hindari they would growl and snap at him warningly if he were to get too close upon accident.
He tilted his head slightly when he realized she was crying. He sighed and his shoulders slumped as his dark eyes closed. One hand came out of his pocket and rubbed his forehead. "Troublesome," he muttered softly to himself and then slowly made his way back to her. "I'll take you." It seemed more of a statement then an offer. But really, where else did she have to go? At least she would be safe in the clan and would finally learn about her heritage and such. Hindari thought he might even see her in battle one day. He doubted he'd ever fight her - seeing as he could probably easily overtake her. A newbie would be best suited to try his or her skill against her once she learned.
He took a step back and waited for her, turning in the direction of the Mizuno's territory. Hindari had no idea where the camp was. The Mizuno were very well hidden. But once they noticed there was something unnatural on their lands - Hindari was sure some of them would come running. That, or the leader herself would come to see what was going on.
Without much hesitation, Hindari began to walk to the Mizuno lands. The whole way he was sure he'd be wondering why he was helping her. Maybe he was more a gentleman then he thought after all...
