Evil Izumi stretched and gave a loud yawn. Her dress tightened around her body, showing off her curves as she did. Evil muttered to herself as she pulled the dress down slightly. The simple, cream-colored dress was too small for her. She had outgrown it years ago. But it was the only thing she really had except for some other garments that she washed daily along with the dress. A half breed was not welcomed in the demon lands nor the human villages. She was outcasted to live around here, the graveyard of all the things that died. Her dark eyes were dark with malicious thoughts as she tapped her claws onto a tombstone. She noticed that Yin had been here recently and a fight had broke out between her and the Hatsu leader. The woman rolled her eyes and spat quietly to herself in a tone of distaste. It would've been nice if the humans would at least let her buy a new dress to wear.
She inspected the one she was wearing and noticed a small tear in it. Evil stomped her feet and groaned. She didn't have anything to fix it, either! That was just perfect! Evil hated being a half breed and she hated the Izumi clan and all a part of it. How could they have just let themselves go to waste like that? To let her parents be burned and die along with her neighbors! Her fangs bared and a low snarl escaped her as her narrowed gaze glared daggers toward the plateau in the distance. She would murder the Izumi leader...the ultimate betrayal to the clan. It was a fair trade, since they had given her an ultimate betrayal.
Calming herself down, the woman sank down and rested her back against the tombstone. Somewhere here was supposed to be where her parents were buried. But they were not. They had just been ignored...just like she had been ignored. How she had been a mere experiment for the beginning of her life. The woman rested her chin on her knees, closing her eyes. Everything was just fucked up...the world was just fucked up...

The day - the perpetual night, more like it - was bone chillingly cold. Haru pulled his jacket tighter about himself as he wandered through the maze of graves. He enjoyed the crisp crunch of the grass beneath his feet as he trekked up a small hill in the graveyard. His dark sable eyes swept the dark expanse of graves, marveling at the seemingly endless rows of graves that stretched through the scenery.
During this specific visit to the graveyard Haru was seeking a certain grave, the grave of his mother. It wasn't hard for him to find, for he often visited it. He was the only one to visit it, really. Natsu was somewhere in the world, and Demitri didn't care about anything but himself. A soft sigh slipped through Haru's lips and he shook his head at the thought of his brother. He should've killed the bastard when he was asleep, had he thought of that maybe he wouldn't have this annoying scar stretched across his chest. As he thought about the mark, Haru absent-mindedly rubbed it and grimaced. He disliked it, a lot, bu most of the women thought it was manly and tough. Most of the women he slept with, though, were brainless bimbos. Airheads, really, with only one thing on the brain - .... much like himself. "pfft," said Haru with a slight sneer, "I'm much better than any of those whores."
It was a few moments later that Haru came upon his mothers grave, but something was slightly off. There was someone sitting on her grave. Arching a brow Haru quietly approached the female - a half-breed, by the smell of her - and stopped a few inches from her. Placing a foot on her, Haru gave her a strong shove. "Oi, have some respect, mutt. This grave is here for the dearly departed to rest in peace, not you." His onyx eyes narrowed slightly as he inspected the woman.

The scent of another presence and Evil's eyes darted up to spot someone coming toward her. Instantly she bristled at the sight of another Izumi coming straight toward her. What did he want? Evil's eyes narrowed and darkened as he drew closer and closer. What? Did he want to mess with her and toy with her because she was a half breed? Was there something else on his mind? Yes, that had to be it. Males...it's all they ever wanted and she was the 'easy' prey. She was half breed, the one who had to listen to demons and do what they say. If this bastard thought he was going to have her for an appetizer before he went off to find some full blood to screw, then he was wrong!
His foot shoved her off the grave and Evil gave a sort of yip. She snarled and instantly was up on her feet. Her claws flexed and her fangs bared at him. "Don't tell me what to do you fucking man-whore!" She snapped, "piss off and find some other half breed to screw. I'm not interested in listening to a petty 'full blood' tonight." She sneered, "maybe you'll find a nice male half breed around here, hm? Go mess with him, but leave me the hell alone." She looked at her dress, noticing another tear in it and groaned. "Great, just great. More tears to make me look like a damn slut that's available. Thanks." With that the angered female stormed off a few tombstones, sitting down on the ground behind one and crossing her arms. Her day just seemed to get worse and worse and if that idiot tried to mess with her she'd swear to rip a piece out of him. Evil's eyes shifted toward him and she threw him a dirty, warning glare that he'd better not dare try anything on her. She was tougher then she looked and would take him. Maybe it'd be a blow to Yin's ego to have one of her oh so fabulous Izumi full bloods beaten by a mere half blood. She snorted and looked straight ahead, glaring at nothing. Her muscles were tensed and her claws were flexing and then relaxing at a constant motion. Everyone dies sometime. Wonder when I'll finally die and leave this hellhole.

Now, Haru hadn't really expected the mutt to explode like that, but when she did it sent a jolt of amusement through him. Man, she was a fire ball! A crooked grin tipped his lips as he wrestled with himself to keep from smiling. When Haru was finally able to keep a straight face he crossed his arms and waited until the woman was finished with her rant before giving her the once-over. "Hm," he began, rubbing his chin. "I think I'd rather an Izumi male than you, sweetheart. You think much too highly of yourself, you're not that attractive." Haru gave a small shrug and looked down at the grave which she had been laying on. "Hn." Why'd he always come to visit his mother's grave? There was no use in visiting something of his past. She had died eight years earlier... she shouldn't matter anymore. Closing his eyes momentarily as he let out a sigh Haru thought back to the day before her death.
But he cut the thought short and looked about the dark cemetery, and towards the woman, then at her dress. She said it made her look like a slut? "You don't need a dress to be considered a slut," Haru commented before turning. It was time to go, there wasn't anything more for him to do here, really, unless he wanted to be bitched at by a mutt who probably couldn't afford a new dress. Shaking his head, Haru too a step in the opposite direction of the girl.

"Think highly of myself?" She laughed hard and shook her head. "Don't give a damn what you think. I don't want anything to do with pure bloods. You're the ones who think too highly of yourself. You scum. And do NOT call me sweetheart." She watched him watch the grave and wondered if it was someone he knew. Good! She was happy she had been resting on it. A glint of satisfaction poured into her eyes and she smirked toward the grave. Maybe she'd burn it, too! Ha! She would wait till he was gone and then destroy it. How would he like that? If it was someone close it could really piss him off. She chuckled darkly and dug her nails into the ground. A huff escaped her and then it slowed into an unhappy sigh. She hit her head back against the tombstone, wondering why he had to bother her. Why couldn't he have just left her alone? She was already having a bad day. She wanted a new dress...but where could she get one? No one would let her into the demon lands and no one in the human places would let her in. She belonged no where! It was frustrating. Maybe she could get one off traveler's trail? Some merchant or something would be kind enough to let her purchase one.
"Thanks for the insult," She merely responded to his comment. "Now go away and leave me alone, pure blood. Go off to your fancy little life and forget me." She looked at her dress, frowning and looking for some way to temporarily fix the newly opened part. But there was nothing around that could allow her to do so. "God dammit," she spat at herself, "this is just perfect." She rested her head back against the tombstone and closed her eyes, breathing. She needed to calm down and get on with her life. That stupid pure blood was leaving her alone. She was glad for this as she felt her whole body tense. Evil tried to hold herself together but she felt her emotions spilling over. Don't cry... She told herself, don't cry...it's not worth it. Don't cry...
Why did people keep her alive?

A perfect life? Tch. Haru wished. Nothing in his life was perfect. Demitri inherited everything - through force - Natsu, his only true family that was left, was nowhere to be found... maybe Demitri killed her. The male shook his head and sighed. "Being a pure blood isn't all it's cracked up to be," Haru muttered as he recalled Yin's dialogue when he decided to quit the clan. In Haru's opinion, Yin was an idiot. He hated her - and he was quite sure she hated him. She hated everyone, everything and everyone was a thorn in her side.
Stopping, Haru turned and looked towards the half-breed. Was she.... about to cry? A brow raised as he observed her, and soon he found himself approaching the woman. Removing his jacket, Haru tossed it on the woman. "You can have it," he muttered, "don't care for it anyway." And with that he was off again and wondering where to go. What there was to do... where was the closest town...?

"It's better then being a creature like me," she hissed softly, "having no place in the world. A slave to society." She snorted again, "no way of getting a job or any support." She looked at her dress, snarling, "can't even get stuff to sew a fucking dress even though I could afford it!" Her fangs bared and her anger flared up again to melt into the lingering depression she felt. It caused the start of hot tears at her eyes and she quickly wiped them away. Her claws seemed to almost try and gorge her eyes out. It didn't seem like she cared if she did or not. I'm poor no matter how rich I get. I'm nothing no matter how much of a something I become. Life is worthless...no matter how much meaning I may get in it.
From his scent she knew him to be a loner. He had chosen to get away from the clan and the horrid leader, Yin. Yin was a cruel leader but she was brilliant as well. Evil hated her immensely because of how she let her family just die. The Izumi leadess had Evil's full hatred and the half breed wished her to be dead. Evil wasn't sure if she'd ever get such a chance. The woman was so highly protected and she was so strong. Evil figured she'd be on a suicide mission and would die. "Not like I care.." she murmured softly to herself, looking at her claws and flexing them. Death was a natural part of life...no matter where it came from.
He had come back, her head snapped toward him and her eyes darkened to a glare. The jacket landed beside her and instantly she was up again with it in her hand. "No!" She yelled, thrusting it out toward him. "Take it back, now! I don't want it! I don't want anything from you!" She growled, "I don't need charity, especially from a pure blood. I'd rather die!" She threw it toward him, "take it or it can lay there till someone else takes it. I don't need your help, pure blood." She moved farther down the row of graves, placing herself facing away from him and leaned her shoulder against the cold stone. Her eyes closed.

And here we go again. She was up on her feet in the blink of an eye, shoving his jacket back at him. Haru glanced at the worn and tattered jacket before shifting his eyes back to hers. Catching the jacket as she threw it back to him, the izumi sighed and shook his head. "You should stop being so difficult," Haru said, folding and draping the jacket over his arm. "Y'know, sometimes it's a good thing to accept help from people, no matter what they are." Tossing the jacket over his shoulder Haru looked about. "But, if you wanna sit and mope... Igo ahead, I don't really care." He took a few steps towards her, then stopped and thought for a moment.
She's not looking for a hand out, but she apparently needs some kind of help... she won't get a descent outfit otherwise. Oh, conflict, what a beautiful thing. Crossing his arms, Haru closed the distance between himself and the girl and took a knee beside her. "I've an idea," Haru began with a simple smile, "both you and I know that no one's going to let you buy a new dress for some time. And, apparently, you're not looking for charity... so, why not come into town with me so you can buy a new dress, hm?" He watched her for a few moments before sitting down.
"I won't pay for it, you can, all I'm offering you is a passport into the village so you can get yourself something descent to wear. Everyone would appreciate it, I assure you." Haru offered her a teasing grin before getting to his feet. "Sound fair?"

"I like being difficult, it's more fun," She replied in a bland tone. "Of course you don't care, pure blood. Now will you just leave me alone and quit bothering me? What, are you getting some kick out of it?" She kept turned away from him, her arms wrapped around her legs. Her toes moved up and down and over each other as she watched them. She was trying to amuse herself and block out the annoying Izumi who insisted on pestering the living hell out of her. He wasn't done yet and his persistence was making her patience wear thin.
Oh, an idea! How lovely! Was he finally going to do something she couldn't not agree to? To where she would have to be dragged around by his sorry ass? Evil sighed and decided to simple listen to this 'idea' that he said he had. When he was done, she was very still for a few moments. Then slowly she turned her head and looked at him. Evil stared at him and a look of defeat seemed to be crawling into her gaze. A frown spread softly across her lips and she shook her head at him. "Why? Why are you trying to help me? What do you want from me? I'm a half breed, I get it already. Why is it that you will not leave me be?" She turned to face him, still sitting, and her body seemed to slump. The young teen's fire was lowering and dulling down to be nothing but ashes. This was a chance to get a dress and she had just enough money.
" ...Fine. But after this, please leave me the hell alone and stay out of my way." She stood up up slowly and looked down at the ground. She grew angry with herself for giving in like this. It was pathetic. She was taking the help of the pure blood. "Lead the way, pure blood."

"Don't ask why and just accept the fact that I'm helping you." Haru stood in a quick motion and glanced about him. The nearest place to buy descent clothing was... east? Maybe west? He was so turned around. With a bit of an eenie-meenie-miney-mo decision, Haru was off on his way towards whatever was in the eastward direction. But, because Humans were so numerous, there was bound to be some kind of village to the east.
"Haru," Haru said after a while of walking in silence. "My name is Haru, not "pure blood. And if you insist on calling me that, then I'll call you Mutt." He turned his head slightly and looked back at the raven-haired woman. "What's your name, eh?" He asked, looking her over from head to toe. Well, he had to admit she was attractive, but now wasn't the time for any of that. He'd get her into the town, let her buy a dress, then be on his way...
Right. In normal situations he'd insist upon a favor and such, but now, now... he did want a favor from her, but that was much too anticipated. And who knew what kind of diseases she had. Was that thought a bit racist? He muddled over the thought for a bit, and decided that - even though she was a half breed - she did kind of seem like that kind of girl...
