5th Month
Week 20! Milestone! Evil was proud to be almost over with her pregnancy. About halfway now, wasn't she? If not a little over halfy. The week had shown the evil battle scars of pregnancy coming - stretch marks. Evil was annoyed with the fact she'd have these after the birth. She wondered if there was any kind of remedy that could get rid of them. Or maybe she should keep them? A sign that she had a kid and was not afraid to show it. Yeah, that sounded pretty nice. Evil had smirked at the thought with joy.
Week 21, along with her growing belly her sex drive had spurted yet again. She had worn Haru out this week, too. The poor male, she wondered how he stood her and her flirting and teasing. Then luring him out of his little boycott and into the bed. Evil was so glad she was a woman. Her feminine ways and emotions were an easy thing to use against him. It was only a week...only seven days of extreme hormones. Hopefully they'd calm down by the next week, right? If not, Evil decided she'd hold herself as long as she could before messing with him. The man needed rest, after all. Also, the baby liked to make her feel like someone was doing areobics or something in her uterus now. So that was quite the distraction.
Week 22, nothing was really happening to her that week. Except for her stomach becoming a small, round belly now. It was obvious she was pregnant since she didn't wear anything baggy. Evil liked to rub the belly and sometimes would hum a soft tune to her baby. She was sure the little one could hear her by now. Evil would talk to the baby though it was a one-sided conversation. Often she would ask for the baby's opinion on something but knew she wouldn't get an answer. But it was a nice, silent companion to have growing in her. When it was born Evil mused on how it would be like to be a mother. Motherhood had never really been her top priority. Of course, fatherhood had never been on Haru's list, either.
Now on the week 23, Evil had decided to make a short trip to visit someone she knew. The princess of Tsukiyomi might just know a thing or two to share with her. Evil smiled at the thought of getting some advice. She hoped that Good knew a little something, though she was still a virgin and obviously not a mother. Good was one to love little kids and observe them. Evil never had. So she felt Good was a great choice to ask questions to. Nothing too complicated since she wasn't a mother yet - of course. But Evil was sure that Good would take upon motherhood one day...
Rubbing her belly, Evil stood by the barrier that protected Tsukiyomi. A small smile spread across her lips as she saw the young woman was waiting for her. "Hello, Good-chan." She called in a gentle greeting. Evil had not given a reason as to why she wanted to see her. She had wanted her pregnancy to come as a surprise. And it sure did. Good had gasped and then her eyes had shone in delight. She had congratulated Evil and Evil glowed with pride. At least Good thought she had done something right...

Trailing a ways behind Evil, Haru looked about at the night-shaded scenery. It was growing on him - kinda. When the sunlight came back it would be blinding, but at least the earth would be warm again. A smile spread across Haru's lips as he thought of the future which (hopefully) held the sun. Everything needed the sun, and every living thing had a right to it - Yin, the emo bitch, had no right to take the sun away just because she was depressed. He wasn't exactly sure of the reason [Haru isn't one of those informed individuals] but he had put this together: depressed (aka emo) people loved the dark, adored depressing songs, poetry, and literature... and through the powers of deduction Haru had come to the conclusion that Yin was emo. She needed to be shot, he thought.
A yawn escaped the demon and he shook his head. He needed sleep... Evil was on one of her drives again, and again he hadn't slept well. Now they were on their way to see someone in Tsukiyomi - to see some girl named... Nice... or something, he hadn't been paying that much attention when Evil had given him the details of their trip. He had only one thing on his mind: sleep. Maybe, while she spoke to Pleasant (or, whatever the hell her name was) he could catch a few z's under a nearby tree or something.
They had gotten to Tsukiyomi a few moments later, and with a quick word to Evil, Haru wandered over to a tree a couple yards away where he promptly placed his butt on the ground and back against the tree, crossed his arms, and closed his eyes. He was off in a shallow daze seconds later, lulled into this state by the ever humming insects of the night.

While if Yin had heard this deduction, Haru would wish she was emo. Since emo people apparently hurt themselves and not others.
Evil sat down with a look of joy on her expression. Her eyes shifted back to Haru as a smile of amusement crossed her lips. The male was out like a lightbulb, it seemed. That was good because then she wouldn't have to keep her eyes on him. Her attention turned back to Good and her eyes sparkled with pride. Good saw her as an equal and not a low half breed. This soothed the Izumi as well as her sweet, gentle voice and calming gaze. Evil always loved the spell the nice woman seemed to put over people. Instantly she felt accepted by her and that she wasn't alone. Of course she hadn't felt alone for some months now, Haru was with her. She felt accepted by him, too.
"How are you fairing, Good-chan?" Evil asked as she sat down in front of her in an indian-style. "All is well, I hope?"
"Yeah," Good nodded, "Kei caught a vampire a few months ago. His name is Cehhan." She gave a soft smile as she thought of the vampire who she was so curious of. He was at the castle right now as Good had decided not to bring him along. Kei didn't like that she was allowed to transfer the vampire around in chains - at least she didn't think he liked it. But at least the vampire had something new to look at instead of dark cell walls. Seeing that every day would depress the princess if it were she.
"That's interesting," Evil responded and blinked. A vampire? She didn't see those around all too often anymore. But boy were they often very attractive to stare at. "Anyways, I came to ask a question. Is there anything at all you can tell me about children? Do you know anything about caring for one? Any advice?"
And so the two chatted, Good telling Evil all she knew about children. Evil got a useful amount of information from their chat. She took notes mentally and paid close attention while absent-mindedly rubbing her stomach. She felt the baby give a small push against where her palm was and a slight smile spread across her lips. But then came a small kick and it caused her to shift slightly. She hated the fact this thing would be kicking her for another like...5 months or something. That was just frustrating.
"Is the male Izumi traveling with you...well...I assume he's the father?" Good suddenly asked and tilted her head. Then blushed and looked apologetic, "I'm sorry...I'm just curious."
"Yeah, he's the father," Evil smiled a bit, softly toward her.
"Do...well..do you...love him?" Good asked sort of quiet, wondering if Evil had found someone to love. But Evil was quiet for a few moments and thinking.
Evil wasn't sure how to answer that with Haru right behind them. Oh well...he'd have to figure it out some way or another. Her cheeks turned a deep crimson and she nodded slightly. "I...I think so..." She murmured, "I think I do love him..."
"That's adorable, I'm happy for you, Evil-san," Good murmured in response and rested her pale hand against Evil's. "Does he love you?"
"...I think so..." Evil whispered, looking back slightly toward him. "If not...I'll hope maybe one day..."

A soft wind had pulled Haru from his doze and he decided it was best to simply enjoy the near silence of the night rather than sleep. Besides, he was out in the open, and sleeping in the open was often a huge mistake. Haru shifted slightly before rolling his shoulder in an attempt to excite a crack from the bones. It came as a satisfying pop a few moments after he had moved his shoulder in odd directions. Happy with himself, Haru smiled a bit and settled further against the trunk. Once more the silence enveloped him, opening his senses to more than he had cared to pay attention to.
Somewhere in the forest a game animal was moving through the foliage, a bird ruffled its feathers, and a lonely cricket played his song. Soon the wind carried the soft murmurings of Evil and her friend -- Gretchen? -- to his ears. He listened in on the talk of children, and was about to tune the boring stuff out when the hens began their gossip. Haru stilled himself and slowed his breathing so he could catch every word without difficulty.
Love? He thought, the slightest of frowns tilted the corners of his lips. She loved him? She was ahead of him on that. Haru still had yet to come to terms with what to call his feelings towards Evil. Attraction, maybe, and a pretty foundational sense to protect her was rooted within his mind... but maybe that's only because he felt a bit of guilt for conceiving a child with her, a child he had never wanted. Then again Haru had found himself debating this very topic over and over again. The conclusion was always: he had no idea. And the conclusion remained the same. I wonder, Haru thought, glancing up at the sequenced quilt of night sky, if I'll ever love her. A soft sigh brushed past his lips before he pressed them together in a firm line. Maybe.
He couldn't exactly rule the feeling out - mainly because he had no idea what love was, nor how it worked. Never had he had a great example of it - sure, his mother loved his father and vise versa... but what the man had done to himself after her death didn't honor her memory. No man should honor the memory of past love by throwing themselves into the slums of society by socializing with whores and being known as the town drunk. Love is not something one should sacrifice everything for, love is an emotion you should take it when offered... and set it free when it's time to let go. Haru's father came down to that moment and made the wrong decision. Instead of releasing that passion when it was ripe, he held it close... and it decayed, taking with it the soul of a once good man.
Not only had it broken the beholder, it had also pulled down those close to him. How would Haru be now had his mother never died? Or had his father just let go and reflect on the time of happiness? He would've been different, so much different. Maybe he would have gotten along with Yin a bit more... maybe he'd still belong to the clan... and maybe he would have found a nice full-blood to consider his mate. Maybe he wouldn't be in this current situation... but those were all "what if's" and this wasn't. The bottom line of this situation was that he was a father-to-be, and the mother of his child thought that she loved him. To tell you the truth, hearing that horrified Haru a bit. He, in no way, was a good man. He was a liar, a cheat, and an all around ass. She didn't understand what she was stepping into... and neither did he. Maybe he could change, but knowing that there was a very certain possibility that he might not change only made him nervous. If he accepted her love, he would be responsible for the future she had. He would be responsible for her broken heart if that ever came around... she was uninformed, and he wasn't willing to release such information. Evil was walking blindly into this... and Haru knew it all. He was selfish.
The thoughts disturbed him deeply. He was slapped down with the responsibility of her well-being, and he needed to step up to the plate... he should at least try to love her, and if he can't bring himself to do so... he should tell her as soon as it became clear he was not the man she should waste her time with.

"I..I mean..." Evil stuttered, "I've never...you know...never gotten close to anyone at all." She shrugged, "so like I said, I think so. I dunno." She frowned a bit and scratched the back of her head. "I just hope that maybe it could be that way for the kid. Because I have absolutely no idea how it's going to work out if we separate after this. The kid would probably go back and forth for a while, but I feel that one of us will eventually get dumped off with it." Evil was afraid that it'd be her. But she was also afraid that she may dump the kidd off on Haru. "That wouldn't be too pleasant...hn..." She began to toy with her dress and frowned. "It's rather complicated being pregnant, you know? When you're not married or anything..."
Good nodded and smiled a bit, "I'm sure it'll all work out in the end, Evil." She tried to comfort the half breed, but could see that many things were on her mind. So she tried to change the subject. "What about names? Have you thought of any?"
"Name...?" Evil gave a look as if she'd never heard the word before. Then she slowly shook her head, "no...I've not thought up one name yet. I still wonder on its gender. I guess I should start working on them..." She sounded sort of absent-minded, thinking of her relationship with Haru. If they were dating, didn't that mean love? She had pondered on that term ever since they started. The word confused her to no end on how the relationship meaning was. "Maybe Haru will want to name it, though...but I can at least give suggestions..." She sighed a bit and rubbed her arm uncomfortably. She knew Good hadn't meant to make her all absent suddenly, it had been an innocent question. One Evil just didn't know the answer to...She had been warned. She had been told she didn't know what she was getting into. Hindari knew Haru better then she did...what was she getting herself into?

Suddenly hit with the call of nature, Haru stood up and moved into the depths of the trees. Beyond the moons influence Haru happily found himself a nice spot to answer the call. A few moments later his bladder was empty and that uncomfortable feeling was gone. Once he had fixed himself, Haru decided that a bit of exploring might do him some good. Unfortunately, exploring was one of the many ways Haru got himself in trouble. None-the-less, he was going to explore.
A few moments after starting his expedition, Haru struck gold. Within a small clearing which was flooded by moonlight warm steam drifted into the forest. Approaching the area, Haru discovered a small hot spring. "Eureka!" He exclaimed with a grin, "gold at last." With a prospectors grin, Haru stripped himself down to his birthday suit and slid into the warm water. A sigh of relaxation passed through his lips as he felt the hug of warm water against his bare skin. "Haven't been in one of these in ages," Haru said to himself as he rested the back of his head on the rock behind him. Wonder how long I have until Evil comes looking for me, Haru thought, completely forgetting he hadn't told her where he had gone.

The two had continued their chat for a few moments before Evil had gotten the feeling of the two being watched. This made her bristle and look around, eyes slightly widening. Had someone found them? This caused their meeting to end quickly as Evil went off into the forest - after realizing Haru was gone. A sinking feeling seemed to enter her stomach as she thought of where he could've possibly gone. "Haru!" She called and looked around, sniffing for the male's scent. It wasn't hard to pick up though she did happen to pass by the place where he had used the restroom, causing her to cringe. What a horrible smell. But she picked up the trail again and was soon on her way to the where he was.
"Haru!" She called again as she came out to the small hot spring. Gazing toward it, she gave a sigh or pure relief and nearly sank to the ground to sit. Something inside of her had made her paranoid over where he had went...Evil didn't understand why. But she moved toward him, a sudden feeling of annoyance sweeping over her. "You could've told me you were going somewhere instead of making me have to look for you all over." And scent your urine, which was gross. She added bitterly into her head. Her arms crossed as she waited for his explanation - EXCUSE!- as to why he hadn't told her. Though it made her slightly depressed he hadn't told her either. Wait...had he heard their earlier conversation? She hadn't been thinking about the Izumi's super hearing....oh hell...
Good looked around for the presence Evil had felt. Who was there? Why would a villager come this far? She frowned softly, "hello?" Was she in some kind of danger? She felt like she should be leaving for some reason...

It was all so relaxing - until the half-breeds calls pierced the silence. Haru grumbled a bit and sighed. He had had a rough week or so, didn't he deserve some alone time every now and then?! Annoyance crossed his features as he leaned his head back further and looked at her with a rather laid-back, and uncaring expression. Now, to him she was upside down, and this gave everything a rather amusing perspective as she scolded him.
"Oh," he said with a slight roll of his eyes, "just deal with it. It's not like I went far, and I thought I'd be back before you noticed - I mean you were so engrossed with talking to your friend you hardly seemed to notice I was still alive and breathing." Haru gave a small shrug and blew a stray bang out of his face. "It's not like you're my mother or anything, anyways. I'm a grown man, I can do what I please." A grin spread across his features as he lifted his head and looked at the rocks that bordered the other side of the spring. Shifting a bit, Haru looked back at Evil. "Care to join me?" He asked politely with an inviting smile - the same one he used with pretty much every woman. But she didn't know that...

Evil sighed and her shoulders slumped, "I'd still like to know where you went. How was I supposed to find you when it was time to go?" It didn't look like they were going anywhere soon. Haru seemed content in the hot spring and she decided it best to let him stay there. He deserved it, anyways. So far he had tolerated her and hadn't gone pale and ran away if he had heard what she said. Evil had said might, though...she never said yes. This made her think back to his one chance deal. She still held that strong and one chance was one chance. So far he hadn't screwed that up - which she appreciated for the baby. But she found it good for her, too. Having finally found a male to accept her. She would use this as an excuse to her growing feelings. Also the fact her hormones were confused and out of whack. So there was another reason. Was it really all going to go down to Hell after the birth?
Frowning at his inviting smile, she felt the memory pass through her head of the male Izumi yet again. She didn't know what she was getting into. So until she did, Evil decided right then that she should probably start to space herself from him again. Where was the view she had of him a long time ago? He was only a male who had slept with her and got her pregnant, and he felt sorry for her. Where had that gone? Her dark eyes closed as she repeated the sentence over and over again. "No," she resonded to him, backing away to a tree and sitting down. "I'll stay right here."
I really need to learn about what the hell is going to happen to me before I jump into things like this. If I had started doing that, I wouldn't be pregnant right now. Carrying the baby of a man who may never be able to love me. How foolish of I, no? She yawned and rested her head back against the tree, watching the spring. Though her mind dazed off elsewhere. How was she going to start this? To start tearing herself away to where if Good ever asked a question again, it wasn't an 'I might' it was 'no' ? Hm...

"Suit yourself," Haru said with a shrug. If she didn't want to relax in the springs, then she was simply missing out on one of the best free luxuries someone could stumble upon. This was quite a find Haru had made, and he mentally patted himself on the back. But, the fact that Evil had declined his invitation knocked him off balance. Of all people... Evil declined. "Hn," he hummed to himself. Wasn't expecting that. Closing his eyes and releasing some of the tensions in his muscles, Haru sank back into the deep thoughts of earlier. Thoughts of his tangled emotions, a knot that seemed would never be untied.
A thought suddenly came to his mind. If she could mess with him, he could mess with her... and when it came to messing with someone, one needs to do it when the victim is least expecting. Standing, Haru moved out of the springs and stood up. "You're just grumpy today, aren't you?" He asked as he moved over to Evil. Stopping in front of her, Haru bent over and scooped her up in his arms. "You should relax a bit," he said with a wicked grin. Holding her tightly in his arms, the Izumi male made his way over to the springs and waded into them - he was careful to keep her out of the water, though.... for now.
